Founded in 1970 by Claus Pohle and Peter Sakewitz, VARIOVAC PS SystemPack GmbH began as a trading company in Buchholz in der Nordheide, Niedersachsen, Germany. In October 1995, we settled in the picturesque town of Zarrentin am Schaalsee in the northeastern federated state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. In 1996, VARIOVAC PS SystemPack GmbH, with only 19 employees, began its own production of vacuum packaging machines.

Today, we proudly employ over 150 employees who are dedicated to “know-how in packaging”. VARIOVAC PS SystemPack GmbH packaging machines are conceptualized with the most sophisticated technical features. Our machines are sold in more than 60 countries worldwide and are used to package a wide variety of food and non-food products. 

We don’t just sell machines, we educate the next generation too! We have a strong regional apprenticeship program. We also provide training workshops and one-on-one training for service technicians.

Our time-tested experience in this industry allows us to provide our customers with the best “know-how in packaging”. We happily work with our customers to develop new packaging concepts, techniques, and designs.

Under the VARIOVAC PS SystemPack GmbH brand, we manufacture both thermoformers (Optimus and Primus) and tray sealers (Linus, Rotarius). We also manufacture leak testers, and offer metal detectors for quality assurance testing. In addition, we offer packaging materials, fillers, inliners, labelers, etc.
